The first release of 2017 for This Is It Forever sees myself and Gavin Miller offer two separate pieces of music..Originally written for a short film I discovered the piano and vinyl crackle led ‘The Hagg’ lost on a hard drive and sent it over to Gavin for a listen, who came up with the idea of a split EP on for our This Is It Forever imprint. His ‘Avec Plaisir’ was committed to tape in a single jam session revolving around an analogue synth bassline, acoustic guitar and cat purring.
Both tracks are remixed by future This Is It Forever artist Sunset Graves, who mangles & obliterates the originals into cinematic soundworlds drenched in echo and static audio.
‘The Hagg / Avec Plaisir’ is released via This Is It Forever on CD, complete with artwork postcard, card wallet and individual hand picked vintage photograph.
